Four contractors win naval office support contracts

Four contractors have won contracts of varying amounts with the Navy for services to support the Office of the Chief of Naval Operations, Energy and Environmental Readiness Division.

The winners of the contracts, which have a base period and one option, are as follow:

• Booz Allen Hamilton
• Science Applications International Corp.
• URS Group Inc.
• Whitney, Bradley, and Brown Inc.

Each contractor has a different base value contract, as well as varying values once options are exercised. The companies will compete for task orders.

For Booz Allen Hamilton, the base is $13.9 million, and $28.7 million with the option.

For SAIC, the base is $14.8 million, and $30.5 million with the option.

For URS Group, the base is $15.6 million, and $32.2 million with the option.

For Whitney, Bradley, and Brown, the base is $14.9 million, and $30.1 million with the option.

Work is expected to be completed by Feb. 14, 2016, or by Feb. 14, 2019 with the options. Most of it is to take place in McLean and Reston, Va., and Washington, D.C., with a little more than a third of the work taking place in Arlington, Va.

Funds in the amount of $150,000 are obligated at the time of the award, and will be equally divided between the contractors, serving as the minimum guarantee, according to a Defense Department announcement. The contracts were awarded through full and open competition, with five offers received.

The Naval Supply Systems Command Fleet Logistics Center, Norfolk, Va., contracting department, Philadelphia Office, is the contracting activity.
