Retired Major General David Lacquement will serve as SAIC's cybersecurity unit program development director and senior vice president.

Science Applications International Corp. has named retired Army Major Gen. David Lacquement program development director and senior vice president of the company’s cybersecurity business unit, effective Oct. 1.

Lacquement most recently led the complex operational establishment of the U.S. Cyber Command, serving as its director of operations.

In his new role, Lacquement will support the rapid expansion of the company’s offerings to both government and commercial enterprises to combat industrial espionage, ensure the continuity of mission operations and respond to digital forensics investigations, the company said.

He has served as the commander of the U.S. Army Intelligence and Security Command; director of intelligence for the Multi-National Forces Iraq; and the director of intelligence for the U.S. Southern Command.

The cybersecurity business unit delivers solutions that provide real-time situational awareness to enterprise operators, helping to protect networks from cyber attacks, the company said.
