CACI wraps up purchase of fed financial services firm

Acquisition strengthens CACI’s presence in business system solutions, government transformation markets.

CACI International Inc. has completed its acquisition of Delta Solutions and Technologies Inc., a provider of financial management and business services to the federal government.

Financial terms were not reported.

The previously announced deal expands CACI's already strong presence in the business system solutions and government transformation arenas and complements its 2011 acquisition of the Oracle-based Advanced Programs Group, according to CACI’s July 2 announcement.

Founded in 1997, Delta Solutions is located in Reston, Va.

Its 175 management consultants and IT specialists provide specialized solutions with a focus in Federal Financial Management systems design, development, integration, and operations and maintenance.

The company has extensive experience implementing, integrating and enhancing major platforms, including Momentum and SAP, and it sustains an active business analytics practice, the announcement said.

Delta Solutions' key customers include federal civilian agencies such as the Interior, Justice, Veterans Affairs and Housing and Urban Development departments.

Its revenue for fiscal year 2011 was $44.8 million.

According to Dan Allen, CACI president and CEO, "As the federal government increasingly focuses on achieving clean audit opinions and making better spending decisions, Delta Solutions is an excellent addition to the CACI team. Their deep financial management domain knowledge and established relationships with federal civilian agencies will help us to win even more work in the multi-billion-dollar government transformation market."

CACI International, of Arlington, Va., ranks No. 14 on Washington Technology’s 2012 Top 100 list of the largest federal government contractors.
