Deltek CEO among Ernst & Young winners

Deltek's Kevin Parker and other government contracting executives capture Ernst & Young entrepreneur awards.

Government contractors were well represented among the winners of Ernst and Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year award for the Washington, D.C., region.

Among the winners was Kevin Parker, president and CEO of Deltek, a provider of solutions that help government contractors manage projects and identify and track opportunities.

Also being recognized was Bradley Schwartz, president and CEO of Blue Canopy; Dawn Halfaker, president and CEO of Halfaker & Associates; and Thomas Deierlein, founder and CEO of ThunderCat Technologies. All three companies are government contractors.

The winners of the regional awards and eligible for the national entrepreneur of the year awards.

Other regional winners were Steve Trundle, president and CEO of Alarm.com; Tonya Mallory, president, CEO and co-founder of Health Diagnostic Laboratory; and Robert W. Musslewhite, CEO of the Advisory Board Co.

The awards are given to encourage entrepreneurial activity and recognize people “who inspire others with their vision, leadership and achievement,” an Ernst & Young announcement said.
