BAE names former Lockheed exec to lead Intelligence and Security unit

At Lockheed Martin, new BAE president held a succession of positions supporting clients’ information and national security needs.

BAE Systems has hired DeEtte Gray as the president of the Intelligence and Security sector, succeeding John Gannon, who retired June 1.

Gray also served as a Lockheed Martin director of corporate strategy and as deputy director for the company’s Army and Defense Information Systems Agency unit.

Before moving into the defense sector, Gray worked in information systems for the city of Cape Coral, Fla.; in Johnston County, N.C.; and for the Wake/Johnston County School System.

The Intelligence and Security sector, located in Arlington, Va., employs more than 7,000 people and is one of four BAE Systems sectors.

It provides information technology and intelligence analysis services to intelligence professionals, federal officials, high-level U.S. decision-makers, and troops deployed around the world.

BAE Systems PLC., of Arlington, Va., ranks No. 17 on Washington Technology’s 2011 Top 100 list of the largest federal government contractors.
