GSA delays SAM system
Consolidation of procurement databases delayed until July.
The government missed its goal of consolidating various procurement databases and systems into a single portal called SAM, or the System for Award Management. Instead, SAM is not scheduled to launch in July, according to a Washington Business Journal report.
SAM is to consolidate the Central Contractor Registration/Federal Agency Registration, Online Representations and Certifications Application, and the Excluded Parties List System into a single website.
