14 to vie for $500M in Navy purchases

Fourteen government contractors, including nine small businesses, will share a potential $500 million Navy supply contract for IT equipment and services.

Each company has been awarded an indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity, firm-fixed-price supply contract for the procurement of commercial-off-the-shelf, network and communications equipment, and related incidental support services, the Defense Department announced March 22.

Each contractor will be awarded $7,140 at the time of award. But with contract options exercised, the cumulative value would reach the estimated half-billion dollar mark by March 2017.

  • CDW Government LLC, Vernon Hills, Ill.
  • Global Technology Resources Inc., Denver, Colo.
  • Iron Bow Technologies LLC, Chantilly, Va.
  • Marshall Communications Corp., Ashburn, Va.
  • Mercom Inc., Pawleys Island, S.C.
  • Mutual Telecom Services Inc., Needham, Mass.
  • Science Applications International Corp., McLean, Va.
  • Scientific Research Corp., Atlanta, Ga.
  • Strategic Communications LLC, Louisville, Ky.
  • Tribalco LLC, Bethesda, Md.
  • World Wide Technology Inc., St. Louis.

Work will be performed at the companies’ home sites.

The multiple-award contracts were competitively procured by full and open competition via the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center e-Commerce Central website and the Federal Business Opportunities website, with 18 offers received.
