Mandiant hands marketing mandate to Michael Evans

Mandiant, a provider of incident response and computer forensics services to the government and commercial clients, has named Michael Evans vice president of marketing.

Mandiant, a provider of incident response and computer forensics services to the government and commercial clients, has named Michael Evans vice president of marketing responsible for all aspects of company marketing activities.

Evans joins the Alexandria, Va., company following six years as vice president of marketing at Approva Corp., where he helped to establish the company as a respected brand competing against much larger companies including SAP and Oracle, according to a Sept. 28 Mandiant announcement.

Before Approva, Evans was vice president of marketing at Aspen Technology, a global provider of process manufacturing optimization software and services.

Evans holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Classics from Brown University.
