Macfadden & Associates Inc. has landed a five-year, $9.9 million contract from the U.S. Coast Guard to provide financial management support.

The sole-source award calls for the Silver Spring, Md., company to provide IT assistance to the Asset and Logistics Division of the Coast Guard’s Command, Control, Communication, Computer and Information Technology (C4IT) Service Centers in Norfolk, Va., and Oakland, Calif., according to a September 8 company announcement.

Macfadden will provide the Asset and Logistics Division with financial management, business management, audit and real property support services, which will be part of a broader C4IT Service Center objective to unify Coast Guard IT structure and business practices into a single mission support model for the entire Coast Guard, the announcement explained.

Founded in 2009 as part of a modernization initiative to shift toward a functions-based command structure, C4IT standardizes processes and procedures across locations, missions and asset types.

Macfadden’s federal IT and business process clients include the U.S. Agency for International Development, Food and Drug Administration, National Park Service, Environmental Protection Agency, and the State and Treasury departments.
