Accenture helps Air Force design advanced decision-support services
Accenture has won a two-year, $17.2 million Air Force contract to conduct risk reduction and prototyping for advanced command and control services.
Accenture has won a two-year, $17.2 million contract from the Air Force’s Electronic Systems Center Capabilities Integration Directorate to conduct risk reduction and prototyping for advanced command and control services.
The contract calls for developing advanced decision-support services, information exchange and system interoperability, according to a company announcement dated June 29.
Accenture will design prototype solutions to improve decision-making in the command and control process and assist with risk reduction for the warfighter.
Through Internet-based technology, Accenture will help shorten the time needed to develop new modeling programs. The resulting systems will provide the Air Force with improved information management systems that supply commanders with the data needed for advanced planning and smarter decisions regarding battle management and war gaming.
The work will be performed at Accenture’s locations in King of Prussia, Pa.; Camden, N.J.; and Joplin, Mo.
The company recently announced two senior leadership appointments within its technology organization, naming Paul Daugherty chief technology architect and Gavin Michael chief technology innovation officer.
Both executives will report to Kevin Campbell, group chief executive for technology.
Accenture, of Dublin, ranks No. 33 on Washington Technology’s 2011 Top 100 list of the largest federal government contractors.
