Former DOD exec leads sensor maker's North America expansion
MS Tech, a developer and manufacturer of advanced detection sensors, has named former Defense Department deputy undersecretary Stephen Bryen its new president. Bryen will lead its expansion into markets across North America.
MS Tech, a developer and manufacturer of advanced detection sensors, has named former Defense Department deputy undersecretary Stephen Bryen its new president.
He will lead the Israel-based company’s expansion into the food safety and product inspection, security and bio-medical diagnostics markets across North America, according to an announcement dated June 28.
“The Food Safety Modernization Act is causing significant changes to the food inspection activities in the U.S.," Bryen said in the announcement.
"We expect these changes to enable the implementation of handheld food
contamination sensors and detectors, which will enable to increase
inspections of domestic food facilities, enhance the detection of
food-borne illness outbreaks and better manage protocols and safety
measures related to food recalls."
Bryen, who has 40 years of experience in government and industry, served as a senior staff director of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and as deputy undersecretary of defense for trade security policy.
He also founded and served as the first director of the Defense Technology Security Administration and was president of Finmeccanica North America, a global aerospace and defense electronics company.
He also founded SDB Partners, a global consulting firm based in Washington, D.C.
