SRA tasked with R&D assistance to Special Ops Command
SRA International Inc. has won a five-year, $14.4 million Defense Department task order to provide research-and-development assistance to the Special Operations Command.
SRA International Inc. has won a five-year, $14.4 million Defense Department task order to provide research-and-development assistance to the Special Operations Command.
The task order calls for SRA to provide experienced scientists, engineers and project management specialists for Special Ops programs, according to a company announcement released today.
The Special Operations Research, Development and Acquisition Center Science and Technology task order stems from the command’s Global Battlestaff and Program Support contract vehicle.
“USSOCOM’s Science and Technology office assesses, develops and manages technologies that address the long-term needs of Special Operations forces,” Jeffrey Rydant, senior vice president of SRA’s National Security Sector, said in the announcement.
SRA International Inc., of Fairfax, Va., ranks No. 30 on Washington Technology’s 2010 Top 100 list of the largest federal government contractors.
