Retired Army Reserve general joins IT firm
Major General Diamond brings training and experience in total quality management and process improvement to Asynchrony Solutions.
Retired Army Reserve Maj. Gen. Mike Diamond has joined Asynchrony Solutions, Inc., an IT software development and systems integration company.
Diamond will be the company’s vice president of logistics planning. He will work closely with customers on current projects and consult on future projects, the company said. At the start, Diamond will be involved with Asynchrony’s program with the U.S. Transportation Command, the company said in its announcement this month.
Diamond retired from the Army Reserve in 2009 after more than 35 years. During the last decade, he was mostly on active duty, including assignments at the U.S. Central Command as director of the Coalition Coordination Center and deputy director of logistics. He was also the commander of the 377th Theater Support Command in Kuwait.
“From the military end, he is considered an expert in transportation, distribution, and logistics. From the civilian end, he is very knowledgeable on manufacturing, retail, and regulatory issues,” said Robert Elfanbaum, the company's general manager. "Given this background, he is an excellent addition to our team."
