Harris hires VP to manage intell and civilian IT sector

Harris Corp. has hired Murray Sewell II as its vice president of business development for the company’s intelligence and civilian clients of its information technology services business.

Harris Corp. has hired Murray Sewell II as its vice president of business development for the company’s intelligence and civilian clients of its information technology services business.

Sewell joins Harris after eight years with Hewlett-Packard/EDS Corp., where he served as an area sales leader responsible for all sales activities in the federal and civilian market segments.

Before joining HP/EDS, he was director of sales for the civilian sector at Unisys Corp., where he was responsible for developing and managing sales for civilian agencies.

Sewell, an Air Force veteran, earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from York College, Pennsylvania.

He will work at Harris IT Services headquarters in Dulles, Va.
