ICF International Inc. has closed its acquisition of Jacob & Sundstrom Inc., an information technology firm specializing in cybersecurity and full-scope identity management services to federal civilian and defense agencies.

In announcing the intended purchase earlier this month, ICF said the all-cash purchase of the Baltimore company would be funded through its existing bank credit line, but specific financial details were not released.

ICF said it expected Jacob & Sundstrom to generate revenue of approximately $24 million in 2009.

Major clients of Jacob & Sundstrom include the Social Security Administration, Environmental Protection Agency and the Defense Department.

As a result of the acquisition, ICF International will offer an expanded range of advisory and implementation solutions across its federal and energy industry client base to assist in mitigating emerging cybersecurity threats and vulnerabilities, an ICF statement said today.

Jacob & Sundstrom’s management and employees will remain with the company, it said.

Greenberg Traurig LLP acted as ICF’s legal counsel on the transaction.

ICF services to government homeland security and defense markets include technology solutions in energy and climate change; environment and infrastructure; health, human services, and social programs.

ICF International, of Fairfax, Va., ranks No. 99 on Washington Technology’s 2009 Top 100 list of the largest federal government prime contractors.
