ICF to help automate state child welfare systems

ICF Inc. will provide technical assistance for state and federal child welfare automation projects under a new contract with the Health and Human Services Department.

ICF Inc. will provide technical assistance on state and federal child welfare automation projects under a Health and Human Services Department (HHS) contract worth $5 million over three years.

Under the contract with HHS' Children's Bureau, ICF will provide technical assistance to states and tribes on the design, development, and implementation of Statewide Automated Child Welfare Information Systems (SACWICs), company officials said. 

The children's bureau provides federal funding for the development and implementation of SACWICs, which serve as the primary case management, data collection, and reporting systems within state child welfare programs.
