NCI and SRA deploy Air Force resource planning system
NCI Information Systems Inc. and SRA International Inc. will assist the Air Force in deploying its new enterprise resource planning program under a task order worth an estimated $4 million.

The award calls for NCI and its partner, SRA International Inc., to support the AFWay II Enterprise ERP Modernization program throughout the Air Force.
AFWay is a web-based system for purchasing commercial information technology products, company officials said.
The system combines e-business and e-commerce processes into one process that guides users through requirements approval, product selection, funding certification, purchase, and asset tracking.
The companies will provide the AFWay II Program Office at Maxwell AFB-Gunter Annex, Ala., with the application. Installation began this month and will continue through September 2010, the officials said.
This competitively awarded task order was awarded under the Network Centric Solutions contract vehicle known as NETCENTS. It is a continuation of earlier efforts in developing the AFWay II ERP pilot system, the officials added.
NCI Information Systems, of Reston, Va., ranks No. 72 on Washington Technology’s 2009 Top 100 list of the largest federal government prime contractors. SRA International ranks No. 26 on the same list.
