VT Services Inc., a subsidiary of U.K.-based VT Group plc, is consolidating its three U.S. operations into one VT Group to facilitate better services to its government clients.

VT Aepco, VT Griffin and VT Milcom will operate as one organization in Washington, D.C., with other locations in Alpharetta, Ga., Gaithersburg, Md., and Virginia Beach, Va., according to a Sept. 14 company announcement.

VT Group will provide a range of services to government clients including facility operations and maintenance, integrated logistics and depot-level management services. The consolidated organization will enable customers to access VT Group’s management operations, training capabilities and industry-standard command, control, communication, computers and information technology (C4IT) offerings from one VT Group organization, the announcement said.

The Gaithersburg, Md., company is a primary provider of submarine communications and shore-based C4IT systems, and it is one of the largest Navy contractors.

U.S. operations accounted for approximately $500 million in revenue in 2008.

VT Group’s operations will be focused on four market areas: C4IT integrated solutions, readiness and logistics support, base and range operations and training.

The combined company will include 3,400 employees at more than 100 locations throughout the United States and at forward locations such as Afghanistan, Iraq, Kuwait, Africa and Guam.
