ITT's Advanced Engineering and Sciences division will design, develop, and integrate new features and capabilities into the Information Support Server Environment Guard system.

ITT, of White Plains, N.Y., ranks on Washington Technology’s 2009  list of the largest federal government prime contractors.

ITT Corp. has won a $49.9 million Air Force contract to sustain and improve the software used in a secure information exchange system.

Under the contract, ITT’s Advanced Engineering and Sciences division will design, develop, and integrate new features and capabilities into the Information Support Server Environment Guard system, the Defense Department said June 16. The agreement also covers maintenance of ISSE Guard systems and installation of new software versions for approved government agencies.

ISSE Guard enables the secure digital exchange of e-mail, imagery, text and multimedia information between networks operating at various security classification levels. It also supports the seamless, high-speed flow of information across security domains, according to the Global Security Web site. The Air Force, Homeland Security Department, intelligence community and federal law enforcement agencies use ISSE Guard, according to Air Force documents.

The Air Force Research Laboratory in Rome, N.Y., is the contracting activity.
