Gaits wins Energy Department security contract for Idaho lab

GAITS Inc. will work with the Idaho National Laboratory to implement, develop and test cybersecurity controls under a $26 million contract.

Gaits Inc. will work with the Energy Department’s Idaho National Laboratory to implement, develop and test cybersecurity controls under a new four-year, $26 million contract.

Gaits will support the laboratory’s mission to ensure the nation's energy security and sustainable energy systems by providing an array of services. The work will include documentation preparation, project management, network traffic analysis and cybersecurity. The company also will provide enterprise architecture design, custom programming and system configuration and implementation, as well as day-to-day operations for cybersecurity.

Gaits, of Alexandria, Va., will support the laboratory’s production operations and maintenance departments through desktop management, communications infrastructure, and hosting services. Desktop management support will include implementation of new standards such as virtual applications and thin clients.

Communications infrastructure support will focus on the analysis, design, implementation, and planning related to data networking and wireless domain services.
