TSA issues RFI for Web-based passenger data systems
The agency wants information on systems to collect hourly data on waiting times for passenger security checkpoints at airports.
The Transportation Security Administration is considering buying Web-based systems that can generate hourly reports on real-time passengers' waiting times at security checkpoints in airports.
The TSA published a request for information on the FedBizOpps.gov Web site on Feb. 20 that sought information on automated passenger wait times data collection systems. The agency said responses were due in 30 days.
The systems should be capable of collecting the waiting times in an automated fashion and providing real-time reporting at least once an hour, in a Web-based applications. Solutions may be stand-alone or integrated, and must be flexible to meet the needs of both large and small airports, the agency said.
