DLT names Ristau CTO

DLT Solutions promotes Van Ristau as its first chief technology officer.

DLT Solutions Inc. has tapped Van Ristau for the position of chief technology officer.

It is a new position at the value-added reseller and Ristau will act as a liaison between DLT and its vendors. He will identify how technologies can help government customers. In his new role, Ristau will track technology trends as they emerge to provide input on corporate growth strategies, the company said in a statement.

DLT Solutions of Herndon, Va., specializes in technologies such as Autodesk, NetApp, Oracle, Quest Software, Red Hat and Symantec, among other.

“Creating this role elevates our existing deep technical expertise and public sector knowledge to a C-level for both our customers and our vendor partners,” said Rick Marcotte, the company's president and chief executive officer.

Ristau has more than 30 years of experience in the government information technology industry. He has worked for ORI Inc., Atlantic Research Corp. and Computer Sciences Corp.

Ristau formerly was DLT’s director of business development operations and consulting services.
