CACI to maintain IT systems for State

CACI International Inc. will continue supporting information technology systems for the State Department's Bureau of Diplomatic Security.

CACI International Inc. will continue supporting information technology systems for the State Department's Bureau of Diplomatic Security under a $29 million task order.

CACI will help the bureau operate, maintain and develop its critical IT systems, company officials said in an announcement today. The work was awarded through the Security Assurance Services and Innovation program.

The new award expands the size and scope of the company's work in areas such as business systems, program management, and enterprise IT and network services, company officials said.

The bureau is State's security and law enforcement arm and therefore plays a key role in international investigations, threat analysis, cybersecurity and counterterrorism.

CACI, of Arlington, Va., ranks No. 17 on Washington Technology's 2008 Top 100 list of the largest federal government prime contractors.
