DRC wins DHS consulting deal

Dynamics Research Corp.'s August acquisition of Kadix System may already be paying dividends. The division has won a new contract with the Homeland Security Department.

Dynamics Research Corp.'s acquisition in August of Kadix System might already be paying dividends. The new division of DRC won a $14.9 million contract to provide management-consulting services to the Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency at the Homeland Security Department.

Kadix will work for the chief information officer and will provide business engineering services, technical support, design and architectural support to help with the development of enterprise and system-level architectures at ICE.

DRC acquired Kadix in August to expand its presence at DHS and add higher-margin management consulting capabilities, the company said.

The new work was awarded under the Enterprise Acquisition Gateway for Leading Edge Solutions program. The task order has a one-year base and four, one-year options.
