TMS to assist DHS with planning services

Technology and Management Services will provide business operations and planning services to the Homeland Security Department.

Technology and Management Services Inc. will provide business operations and planning services to the Homeland Security Department under a two-year, $8.2 million contract.

TMS will support the DHS National Protection and Programs Directorate, whose responsibilities include protection of assets such as energy and agriculture infrastructure and assuring the security, resiliency and reliability of the nation's cyber and communications networks.

TMS, a full-service management consulting company in Gaithersburg, Md., began its relationship with DHS in 2003 through the work it did for the Energy Department's Office of Energy Assurance, which was later incorporated into DHS.

TMS provides operational support in strategic services, acquisition, financial analysis and reporting, human capital management, and specialized technical program support in infrastructure protection. It is a subsidiary of National Interest Security Co. LLC.

NISC, of Fairfax, Va., is a provider of information technology, information management and management technology consulting services to the intelligence community and other government agencies.
