3e Technologies International will provide surveillance and physical detection technology to the Navy and the Transportation Security Administration.
3e Technologies International Inc. will provide surveillance and physical detection technology to the Navy and the Transportation Security Administration under a contract with a ceiling of $48.65 million.
Under the award, the small business based in Rockville, Md., will design, test and implement the Navy-wide Virtual Perimeter Monitoring System to support the Navy's Commander, Naval Installations Command and TSA.
The system is a broad set of monitoring, communications and surveillance tools for vessels, naval installations, expeditionary forces and TSA sites to assist in the detection of physical intrusions, chemical and radiological attacks, and other threats to Navy personnel and bases.
The work will be performed in Jersey City, N.J.; Norfolk, Va.; Washington, D.C.; Bethesda, Md.; Arlington, Va.; Dahlgren, Va.; Frederick, Md.; Annapolis, Md.; Patuxent River, Md.; Suitland, Md.; and Sasebo and Yokosuka, Japan. Completion is scheduled for September 2009.
The Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City Division, Panama City Beach, Fla., is the contracting activity.
