GD to support Navy education center

General Dynamics Corp. will furnish education and training products and services to the Navy under a contract worth up to $46.3 million over five years.

Under the contract, the company will support training programs designed for the Navy and other Defense Department agencies, which are overseen by the Naval Education and Training Professional Development and Technology Center, company officials said.

The scope of work covers printed materials, interactive multimedia instruction, video services, interactive electronic technical manuals, electronic classrooms, distance learning, process mapping, simulation, and gaming and needs assessments, they said.

The contract was awarded by the Navy's Fleet and Industrial Supply Center Norfolk Contracting Department, Philadelphia Office.

General Dynamics' team includes AT&T Government Solutions Inc., C2 Technologies, Corsair Engineering, Global Business Solutions Inc., Intelligent Decisions Systems Inc., John C. Bucelato LLC, Logistics Services International, MYMIC LLC, Savannah State University and the University of West Florida.

The education and training center provides the Navy with products and services to support and enhance education, training, career development and personnel advancement. General Dynamics has supported the center since 1992.
