The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center San Diego wants white papers and full proposals detailing research and prototype development as it relates to net-centric command operations.

The white papers should address improvements to command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (C4ISR) capabilities with regard to several areas, according to a FedBizOpps notice posted Sept. 17.

The white papers should set forth unique and innovative approaches that will define and help shape next-generation C4ISR capabilities and command suites, the notice states.

The research proposals should take into consideration that testing of concepts and prototypes in visual simulations or in laboratories might be necessary.

Papers and proposals are due by Sept. 16, 2009.
