Orizon picks up HR support at EPA

Orizon Inc. will support the Environmental Protection Agency's PeoplePlus system under a new contract.

Orizon Inc. will support the Environmental Protection Agency's PeoplePlus system under a five-year, $12.5 million contract.

The contract is the company's first multiyear, competitively awarded contract with EPA, said Michael McLean, executive vice president and co-founder of Orizon.

The system is EPA's human resources program and it runs on PeopleSoft and Oracle software, the Rockville, Md.-based company said.

The system houses data on employees, positions and organizations. It supports the agency's human capital management efforts.

Orizon's technical support will include the transition from the current contractor and ensuring the availability and reliability of the PeoplePlus development environment. The company will help with analysis, design, implementation and deployment of fixes and enhancements to the system.

Orizon also will work on the transition to the e-Government Human Resources Line of Business, a part of the President's Management Agenda.
