Edward Driesse was named Louisiana's chief information officer. Driesse most recently was CIO at the state's Department of Health and Hospitals. Driesse will direct the Information Technology Office in the Administration Division and advise the governor and executive cabinet on IT matters.Andy McCann was named vice president and geographic sales leader of Plano, Texas-based EDS Corp.'s U.S. Government and Public Sector business. He succeeds David Hadsell, who was promoted to vice president and geographic sales leader for EDS' commercial business and state and local government health care business. McCann most recently led a major segment of the company's state and local government health care business.Diann McCoy joined consulting firm Acquisition Solutions Inc. and will lead the Arlington, Va., company's defense business. McCoy is a former acquisition executive at the Defense Information Systems Agency. She is also a former executive of the Office of the Secretary of Defense and the Air Force.Curt Kolcun, formerly vice president of Microsoft Corp.'s federal division, was named vice president of its parent organization, Microsoft's Public Sector business group. Kolcun replaces Linda Zecher, who was promoted to an expanded role in Microsoft's Worldwide Public Sector.Paul Maritz joined VMware Inc. as president, chief executive officer and member of the board of directors. Maritz was part of the core executive leadership at Microsoft and retired in 2000. He replaces Diane Greene, one of Palo Alto, Calif.-based VMware's co-founders.Paul Cofoni, CACI International Inc. president and CEO, was named chairman of the board of nonprofit AFCEA International, based in Fairfax, Va.Joseph Doherty joined Affiliated Computer Services Inc. as executive vice president and group president of the Dallas company's government solutions group. Doherty most recently was president of the Americas division at Computer Sciences Corp.'s global outsourcing services group.Richard Turner joined Redwood City, Calif.-based Clearswift Ltd. as CEO. Turner most recently was vice president for Europe, the Middle East and Africa at RSA, EMC Corp.'s security division.David Canellos was named chief operating officer and president of Vienna, Va.-based Cloakware Inc. Canellos had been interim president of Cloakware for the previous nine months. Dutch digital security company Irdeto acquired Cloakware in December 2007.Thomas Martella joined AAC Inc. as vice president of the Vienna, Va., company's systems integration group. Martella most recently was a director in Unisys Corp.'s federal civilian business.Richard Shea joined Lefthand Networks Inc. as vice president of the Boulder, Colo., company's North American sales. Shea most recently was a sales vice president at EqualLogic Inc.Susan Case joined American Systems Inc. as vice president of the Chantilly, Va., company's national security strategic business area.
