Cofoni named AFCEA chairman of the board

CACI International President and CEO Paul Cofoni has been named chairman of the board of the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association International.

CACI International Inc. President and Chief Executive Officer Paul Cofoni has been named chairman of the board of the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association International.

As AFCEA chairman, Cofoni will lead its executive committee and compensation committee and participate on the AFCEA Educational Foundation Board of Directors, the organization said in a statement today.

Cofoni has been a longtime member of AFCEA and has served more than five years on the association's executive committee and board.

AFCEA, established in 1946, is a nonprofit association based in Fairfax, Va., that serves the military, government, industry and academia by advancing professional knowledge and relationships in the fields of communications, information technology, intelligence and global security.

"I look forward to serving the association by helping to ensure its 32,000 members and 1,600 corporate members continue this critical collaboration. This is truly an important process by which we can work together to develop the best solutions for national priorities," Cofoni said in the statement.

CACI International, of Arlington, Va., ranks No. 17 on Washington Technology's 2008 Top 100 list of the largest federal government prime contractors.
