Harris to enhance technology for Army Dental Command

Harris Corp. will furnish application and network support to the Army Dental Command under a new contract.

Harris Corp. will furnish application and network support to the Army Dental Command under an $11.6 million contract.

Harris Information Technology Services will provide local operations and support to the Army Dental Command at Fort Sam Houston, Texas, and other Army dental clinics worldwide.

Harris will operate, maintain and enhance critical applications and databases and the command's Web portal. The company will also assist with off-site disaster recovery, asset management and digital radiography.

Harris' project team includes ASM Research Inc., STG Inc. and Atlantic CommTech Corp. The contract was awarded through the Air Force's Network Centric Solutions program.

Harris, of Melbourne, Fla., ranks No. 13 on Washington Technology's 2008 Top 100 list of the largest federal government prime contractors.
