Science Applications International Corp. will provide support to the Army for its Equipping Enterprise System under a new five-year, $46 million contract.

Under the terms of the contract, SAIC will furnish a wide range of services, including analytic support; software, portal and database development; and training to integrate several key applications into a common language and server environment.

The applications involved are the Army Flow Model, Force Development Investment Information System and Continuous Early Validation.

The contract supports G-8 Force Deployment and Headquarters of the Department of the Army agencies (HQDA).

SAIC has supported the Army Flow Model for the past 14 years, company officials said. HQDA uses the Army Flow Model knowledge management system to assess force readiness and cost over time.

SAIC, of San Diego, ranks No. 5 on Washington Technology's 2008 Top 100 list of the largest federal government prime contractors.
