Telos to assist DOD on identity management

Telos Identity Management Solutions LLC will implement and support DOD's Defense Manpower Data Center identity protection and management programs in a contract potentially valued at $582 million.

Telos Corp. will assist the Defense Department organization that develops, fields and maintains identity technology under a new contract.

Telos Identity Management Solutions LLC will implement and support DOD's Defense Manpower Data Center identity protection and management programs. The one-year contract has four option years and a potential value of $582 million.

The center works on the Real-time Automated Personnel Identification System program, which issues identification cards to the more than 10 million active-duty and reserve military members, DOD civilians, select contractors, military retirees and eligible family members.

In addition to fielding and providing maintenance support for the identification system, Telos, of Ashburn, Va., will implement the center's enterprise systems and provide worldwide maintenance support to the Defense Biometric Identification System and the Non-Combatant Evacuation Operations Tracking System.

The Defense Biometric Identification System provides authentication support to DOD's physical access mission. The Non-Combatant Evacuation Operations Tracking System provides identification and tracking capabilities for noncombatants who must be repatriated to the United States.
