SRA to support Defense data center

SRA will provide architectural design, database management and software support to the Defense Manpower Data Center.

SRA will furnish information technology support services to the Defense Manpower Data Center under a five-year contract worth up to $48.1 million.

Under the terms of the agreement, SRA will provide architectural design, database management and software support to the data center.

The Fairfax, Va., company said it has more than two decades of experience working with the center. During that time, it has provided a variety of systems engineering services, including service-oriented architecture, Web support and identity management.

The Defense Data Manpower Center is responsible for maintaining and protection the privacy of personnel, manpower, training, security and financial data for more than 28 million current and former Defense Department employees. It runs more than 230 databases, Web sites and programs.

SRA ranks No. 33 on Washington Technology's 2007 Top 100 list of the largest federal government prime contractors.
