BearingPoint to install software for Cleveland Water

BearingPoint Inc. will implement Oracle software designed to improve business processes for the Cleveland Division of Water under a new contract.

BearingPoint Inc. will implement Oracle software designed to improve business processes for the Cleveland Division of Water under a $13.7 million contract.

The contract calls for BearingPoint to implement Oracle utilities customer care and billing and Oracle utilities business intelligence software, the McLean, Va., company said.

The new software will help the agency better understand customer needs, improve billing accuracy and enhance customer service, BearingPoint said.

The Cleveland Division of Water is the largest water system in Ohio and among the 10 largest in the country. It provides drinking water to 1.5 million people in Cleveland and 72 surrounding suburbs.

BearingPoint ranks No. 24 on Washington Technology's 2007 Top 100 list of the largest federal government prime contractors.
