McDonald Bradley to train immigration officials

McDonald Bradley Inc. will help the Justice Department train people who work for its Executive Office for Immigration Review.

Under a $9.5 million contract, McDonald Bradley will provide information technology training support services to immigration judges and board members, legal assistants, clerks and court administration personnel.

The training will focus on how to use technologies that facilitate immigration case adjudication, the company said. For example, employees will receive training in how to use the office's new case management system and a digital audio recording system. The office operates more than 50 immigration courts around the country.

The training consists of live classroom sessions, Web-based virtual classrooms and self-directed, multimedia training.

McDonald Bradley has supported Justice Department training efforts for seven years, the company said.

The Herndon, Va.-based company announced last month that it was being acquired by ManTech International Inc. for $76.5 million. The deal is expected to close by the end of the year.
