CACI buys intell services firm

CACI International Inc., of Arlington, Va., agreed to buy Dragon Development Corp., strengthening its position in the intelligence community market. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Columbia, Md.-based DDC, which provides professional, technical and engineering services to the intelligence community, is a woman-owned small business. All of its more than 75 employees hold top-secret clearances with special access.

Adobe to buy Virtual Ubiquity

Adobe Systems Inc. will buy Virtual Ubiquity Inc., maker of online word--processing application Buzzword. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Buzzword is already well-integrated with Adobe products, said officials of the San Jose, Calif., company.

The founders of Virtual Ubiquity of Waltham, Mass., will join Adobe.

L.A. equity group buys Scitor

Leonard Green and Partners LLP, a private-equity group in Los Angeles, bought Scitor Corp., of Herndon, Va., for an undisclosed amount.

Employee-owned Scitor provides engineering and management consulting services to defense and intelligence agencies.

Most of the company's 1,200 employees have high-level security clearances.
