Tony Valletta joined the consulting firm FedResults Inc., formerly JB Cubed, of Herndon, Va., as a strategist for startups and small businesses looking to grow larger. Valletta, former chief information officer at the Defense Department, most recently was CIO at SRA International Inc. John Gilligan, a former Air Force CIO and Valletta's deputy at SRA for about 18 months, will replace Valletta as SRA's CIO.JoAnn Brown joined accounting firm Goodman and Co., of Rockville, Md., as senior associate. Brown most recently was senior accountant at investment firm Rockefeller and Co.Gregory Garrett was named chief operating officer at government consulting firm Acquisition Solutions Inc., of Arlington, Va., where he will oversee the company's consulting operations and the Acquisition Solutions Training Institute. A former Air Force officer, Garrett most recently led Acquisition Solutions civilian agency consulting practice.Woody Hall, U.S. Customs and Border Protection CIO, joined General Dynamics Corp., of Falls Church, Va., as CIO of the company's IT sector.Michael Mason was named chief security officer of Verizon Communications Inc., of New York, effective January 2008.
