CSC gets Navy IT services work

Computer Sciences Corp. has won an information technology services contract potentially worth $43 million to provide systems engineering, management and administration support at the Navy's Space and Naval Warfare System Center in Charleston, S.C. The one-year contract has four option years.

Under the terms of the contract, CSC will configure, install, administer and maintain data system connectivity and ensure that all systems at SPAWAR's Information Systems Division are functioning properly. In addition, the company will integrate the database and network support servers for the classified and unclassified systems.

SPAWAR's Information Systems Division supports full-service telecommunications management and information systems for the Defense Department, Navy and other government agencies.

The Space and Naval Warfare System Center Charleston provides engineering and acquisition expertise for Navy/Joint command operations and command, control, communications, computer, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance technology. It also is the developer of FORCEnet joint collaborative assessment tools, which are designed to promote network-centric interoperability and reduce systems redundancy.

CSC of El Segundo, Calif., ranks No. 11 on Washington Technology's 2007 Top 100 list of the largest federal government prime contractors.
