Bids & proposals

Automated collection system

The California General Services Department wants a contractor to design and deploy a comprehensive tax collection solution for the state's Employment Development Department.

A request for proposals is expected in October. Bidders should propose a benefits-funded model that will share risks equally between the customer and contractor.

New procurement system

The Minnesota Administration Department wants a contractor to provide a Web-based accounting and procurement system. An RFP is expected in the first quarter of 2008.

The state's accounting and procurement system supports its daily operations and ensures that schools, local governments, retirees, vendors and individuals qualified for assistance receive timely payments.

Centralized licensing system

The Washington Licensing Department wants a contractor to provide a new centralized driver's license system. An RFP is expected in the first quarter of 2008.

The replacement system should enhance and integrate customer intake workstations, records database, image recall and display, centralized card production, and card mailing. The department prefers a nonproprietary approach for some or all of the project.
