CACI pipes aboard Calland as new VP

CACI International Inc. has hired retired Navy Vice Adm. Albert Calland III as executive vice president for security and intelligence integration.

CACI International Inc. has hired retired Navy Vice Adm. Albert Calland III as executive vice president for security and intelligence integration.

He will help build CACI's continually expanding business with the intelligence community and the growing market for information sharing, the company said.

Calland most recently served as deputy director for strategic operational planning at the National Counterterrorism Center. He previously was deputy director of the Central Intelligence Agency, the agency's second highest position.

Before that he served as commander of Special Operations Central within the U.S. Central Command, where he directed more than 3,000 U.S. and Coalition Special Operations Forces in Operation Enduring Freedom.

CACI of Arlington, Va., ranks No. 22 on Washington Technology's 2007 Top 100 list of the largest federal government prime contractors.
