SRA wins IT contract for NIH IT upgrades

SRA International has won a follow-on contract to provide Web development and other IT services to the National Institutes of Health's Center for Information Technology.

SRA International Inc., a provider of technology and strategic consulting services and solutions to the government, has won a five-year follow-on contract from the National Institutes of Health to provide Web development and other information technology services to NIH's Center for Information Technology.

The task order, awarded under the General Services Administration Federal Supply Schedule, has a total value of $38.9 million if all options are exercised.

The CIT administers the NIH Data Center, a federal center in Bethesda, Md., that provides high-speed connectivity and host-processing for NIH and other federal agencies throughout the United States.

Under the new task order, SRA will provide CIT with project management; systems analysis, engineering and planning; database design and development; software development; and Web development services.

SRA has been providing technical services to the CIT Division of Enterprise and Custom Applications since 1999. The division develops and manages administrative and business applications for NIH laboratories and offices.

The SRA team includes Ciber Inc.; Information Gateways Inc.; Lockheed Martin Management Systems Designers Inc.; and Sapient Corp.
