Affiliated Computer Services has named Christopher Leach as senior vice president and chief information security officer.

Affiliated Computer Services Inc. has named Christopher Leach, a former financial industries professional, as senior vice president and chief information security officer.

In his capacity as CSO, Leach will oversee the development and execution of policies that protect the private and sensitive information of ACS' clients, employees and business partners, the company said.

Previously, Leach served as senior vice president and CSO for First Horizon National Corp. of Memphis, Tenn., where he put in place a security strategy for that company's 500 branch banks in more than 43 states. He also developed a risk-based approach to security assessment and remediation and worked interdepartmentally to balance the overall risk of the business enterprise.

Leach has 25 years of experience in risk analysis, operations and financial controls. As such, his transactional business expertise will be of considerable assistance to ACS as it increases the depth and breadth of its business process solutions, said Tom Burlin, ACS executive vice president and chief operating officer.

ACS of Dallas ranks No. 58 on Washington Technology's 2007 Top 100 list of the largest federal government prime contractors.
