InterImage strikes ATF software deal

InterImage Inc. won a $40 million task order from the Federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives to provide technical support for software development.

InterImage Inc. won a five-year, $40 million task order from the Federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives to provide technical support for software development.

Under the task order, InterImage of Arlington, Va., will deliver software development services to the ATF's Information Services Division. The division is responsible for the acquisition, development, customization, deployment and maintenance of all ATF information systems software.

Users include ATF headquarters, field offices, ATF national laboratories, regional crime gun centers, the National Tracing Center, law enforcement offices and industry partners from the alcohol, tobacco, firearms and explosives industries. ATF is part of the Justice Department.

InterImage will apply service-oriented architectures, Web services, XML and portal technologies to support the Information Services Division's software applications.
