HRLOB provider is needed for Labor

A public or private shared-services provider is being sought by the Labor Department for its Human Resources Line of Business to replace its current HR and payroll systems.

A public or private shared-services provider is being sought by the Labor Department for its Human Resources Line of Business to replace its current HR and payroll systems with integrated applications, and real-time processing and data availability for its 15,500 employees.

The contract will have a two-year base plus five one-year option periods. Offers are due Feb. 2, Labor said in its request for proposals on FedBizOpps earlier this week.

The HR Line of Business is designed to improve business processes, standardize services and reduce costs.

Labor's current systems provide personnel and HR transactional processing, time and attendance, training administration and reporting requirements. It currently uses a customized PeopleSoft HR Management System version called PeoplePower that is structured for Labor based on its specific HR and financial-management processes.
