Data Systems Analysts Inc. won a $3.5 million subcontract from Multimax Inc. to assist the Air Force Communications Agency with networking initiatives.

Under the subcontract, Data Systems Analysts of Philadelphia will furnish program and technical support to the AFCA Enterprise Migration Strategies Branch as a subcontractor to Multimax Inc. of Herndon, Va. AFCA awarded the work under the Air Force Network-Centric Solutions Award Schedule.

Data Systems Analysts will assist AFCA in developing concepts necessary to create an Air Force net-centric environment, updating Global Combat Support System documents and specifications, and helping migrate functional applications to the Global Combat Support System Air Force Framework.

The project will help the Air Force adhere to the concept of focused logistics identified in long range strategic planning documents such as the Joint Vision 2010 and Joint Vision 2020.

Focused logistics involves fusing logistics information and transportation technologies for rapid crisis response, deployment and sustainment, and the ability to track and shift units, equipment and supplies. It also involves the delivery of tailored logistical packages directly to the warfighter.

In addition, Data Systems Analysts will assist a team tasked with helping to integrate functional requirements through data collection, data requirements analysis and data consolidation, as well as by reviewing and developing specifications and working action items.
