Florida city taps Tyler for financial, payroll software

Tyler Technologies won a contract with the City of North Miami to deliver a software and services package,including the company's EDEN financials products.

Tyler Technologies Inc. won a contract with the City of North Miami to deliver a software and services package that includes a full suite of the company's EDEN financials products.

EDEN provides general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, budgeting, inventory, bid and quote management and contract management.

The city also plans to implement Tyler's payroll software, which covers applicant tracking, employee training, human resources and budgeting. In addition, the payroll package includes citizen service software that consists of parcel manager, permits and inspections, utility billing, licensing, special assessments and customer requests.

Both the financial and payroll software products contain Web extensions. The contract is valued at about $1 million.

North Miami is located in northeast Miami-Dade County and has a population of more than 60,000.

Tyler of Dallas has more than 6,000 local government offices throughout all 50 states, Canada, Puerto Rico and the United Kingdom.
