General Dynamics will keep Air Systems work

General Dynamics Information Technology won three contracts over five years to provide acquisition logistics support to the Naval Air Systems Command.

General Dynamics Information Technology won three contracts worth about $90 million over five years to provide acquisition logistics support to the Naval Air Systems Command.

The company will furnish the services to the F/A-18 program director for logistics, the H-53 assistant program manager for logistics and the H-60 assistant program manager of logistics.

The contracts continue General Dynamics' logistics support of to one of the Navy's largest aviation program for the past six years under the AIR 3.1 Omnibus Logistics contract.

Company employees will perform the work at locations in Huntsville, Ala., Lemoore and North Island, Calif., Panama City, Fla., Patuxent River, Md., Cherry Point, N.C., Philadelphia and Norfolk, Va.

General Dynamics Information Technology of Fairfax, Va., is a systems integrator that offers IT, systems engineering and professional services to federal government and commercial clients.

Its parent company, General Dynamics Corp. of Falls Church, Va., has about 81,900 employees worldwide. It reported 2005 revenue of $21.2 billion and ranks No. 4 on Washington Technology's 2006 Top 100 list of federal prime contractors, ranked according to their IT revenue.
