CGI's Managed Advantage ERP software system is a hosting program tailored to help the state manage its 9,500 employees and $4 billion annual budget. Wyoming has used the CGI's Advantage product since 2002.

ERP software suites handle various government administrative functions, such as financial, procurement, human resources, budgeting and reporting.

The hosted approach lets the state set the course and keep control over the application and data while CGI-AMS manages daily operations, the company said.

CGI-AMS of Fairfax, Va., is a unit of CGI Group Inc., Montreal. CGI-AMS ranks No. 53 on Washington Technology's 2006 Top 100 list of the largest federal IT contractors.
